An Easy-Growing, Early Blooming Willow

Why White Pussy Willow Shrubs?

The White Pussy Willow Shrub is the perfect choice for every yard. If you're looking for a tall, flowering shrub that doesn’t require a lot of maintenance, consider the White Pussy Willow as the next addition to your landscape.

So, what is a Pussy Willow? The White Pussy Willow Shrub is unlike anything else. Dark, tall branches shoot upright from the roots and on them grow beautiful silvery-white blooms called catkins. You've probably seen the branches and catkins in floral arrangements: The slim branches and fuzzy blooms add interesting contrast against bright flowers.

An early bloom adds excitement while everything is still dormant. The catkins begin to blossom in late winter and early spring, well before most other flowering plants. While the rest of your garden is dormant and void of color, the fuzzy little blooms of the White Pussy Willow Shrub will let you know that winter is ending.

Plus, the Pussy Willow loves to grow! It's hard to go wrong with this flowering shrub. Typically growing around 2 feet per year, this willow will show off for you soon after you plant it. It doesn't care about soil conditions and you don't need to fertilize it or worry about pests and diseases.

Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better

But the best part is your White Pussy Willow's strong beginning. Because we've planted, grown and shipped your White Pussy Willow with care, you can plant it and forget it.

Other big-box retailers ship bare-root, but not Fast Growing Trees. When you order from our nursery, you get healthy, intact roots in nutrient-rich soil. In fact, the shrub arrives in the pot it was grown in - no guesswork for you required!

Every yard can benefit from this uniquely gorgeous flowering shrub. The White Pussy Willow Shrub is going to look great anywhere you plant it in your garden. The manageable height and fast-growing nature make it a desirable plant for every landscape. Don't let your garden go another day without this perfect addition - get yours today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Choose a spot that gets 4 to 6 hours of sun each day with well-drained soil.

Dig a hole that's about two to three times the width of your rootball and place your shrub. After planting, you can add a thick layer of mulch around the base of the shrub to help the plant retain moisture.

2. Watering: The Pussy Willow likes water, but rain is usually enough. If you live in a dry area, you may need to water once a week. During dry spells or droughts, watering twice a week may be necessary.

3. Pruning: Start pruning after the second year of growth by removing all the branches each winter. Your shrub will have a bulbous area that the branches grow out of - simply cut off all the branches above that bulbous area in the winter before the new growth starts.
