Multiple Extraordinary Tropical Colors on One Tree!

Give your garden or patio an unbeatably unique look with the breathtaking blooms of the Multicolor Angel Trumpet Tree. It flowers in three beautiful hues—yellow, peach and white.

The Multicolor Angel Trumpet screams tropical beauty. Its oversized, vibrant green leaves can provide shade for seating, or screen unattractive areas around your home. But the real appeal comes from its distinctive, trumpet-shaped flowers, which hang gracefully from the branches.

This tree's multicolored flowers bloom at different times throughout the season, creating a stunning, varied effect for months at a time.

Even more compelling? The trumpet-like flowers produce an intoxicating fragrance, perfect for perfuming your deck or patio. Plus, the flowers bloom from spring through fall, for an elegant, long-lasting display.

This tropical tree is ideal for growing zones 9-10. But if you live in a cooler climate, you can still enjoy this one-of-a-kind variety - just place it in a pot on your porch or patio, and move it indoors when the temperatures drop.

If you’re looking for a plant that offers a truly unique flowering show, the Multicolor Angel Trumpet is the perfect choice. Get yours today!

NOTE: The flowers and foliage of this plant are toxic to people and animals if ingested. Take care when planting and keep your Angel Trumpet Tree away from pets and children.

Planting & Care

Climate and Location: The Angel Trumpet Tree is only hardy in USDA Zones 9-11 - we don't recommend planting them outside in cooler climates, although you can keep it as a patio tree. The Angel’s Trumpet prefers a somewhat sheltered site, and your 3-in-1 Angel Trumpet will flower best in full sun, but they'll appreciate diffused light or dappled shade in hot, dry areas. Generally easy, fast growers, these trees love warm days and cool nights with lots of humidity.

Soil: Angel Trumpet loves a rich soil with plenty of organic matter to hold moisture and provide a steady supply of nutrients. They'll grow best in well-drained, lighter soils, whether planted in a container or out in the garden. To help retain a moist soil environment, mulch around the base of the plant.

Planting in Containers: Angel Trumpet Trees are often grown in pots, where they can be easily moved inside in cooler climates. Use a large container for this fast grower - a minimum pot size of 12”-15” is recommended. Use a good quality, organic potting mix for best results, and ensure your pot has good drainage - your 3-in-1 Angel Trumpet tree won't tolerate being waterlogged.

If you're moving your potted Angel Trumpet back outdoors after winter, you can start bringing it out of dormancy by moving it to a warm area with bright light a few weeks before moving it outside. Remember to increase watering frequency when in full sun. This is also a good time to repot, prune or trim your plant, if necessary. Night time temperatures should be consistently above 50° before moving your Angel Trumpet outdoors.

Container-planted Angel Trumpet Trees will need a lot of water - even daily watering in warmer climates. Keep the soil consistently most but ensure good drainage.

Planting Outdoors: In tropical regions, choose a site that drains well, with soil rich in organic matter to provide a base level of nutrients consistently to the plant.

Blend a well matured compost and peat mixture into your soil if it’s lacking tilth, nutrients, or a "fluffy" texture. Dig a hole twice to three times the size of the root ball you are planting, blend your amendments well with the soil, and set the mixture aside. Place your root ball so the soil line is level with the ground. Fill the hole about half way, water thoroughly, and allow the water to drain through the soil. Finish filling, gently firming as you go, then water the entire zone deeply and thoroughly.

Mulch well after planting to help your soil retain moisture. Your new plant may require daily watering as it becomes established. Once established, you can decrease frequency to 2 waterings/week.

Water: Angel Trumpet Trees need a lot of water while establishing, and during the growing season. They will wilt quickly without enough hydration, and can become susceptible to spider mites and whiteflies. Water frequently (even daily) for container-planted Angel Trumpet Trees, and at least two times weekly for ground-planted trees.

Fertilizing: Fertilize your Angel Trumpet Tree lightly after planting, then begin feeding every 2-4 weeks using an organic, all-purpose fertilizer. You can fertilize during active growth, through bloom. Feed every 2-3 weeks with an all-purpose fertilizer while your Angel Trumpet is actively growing or in bloom. Angel Trumpets grow fast, so they will feed heavily - slow-release formulations are not recommended.

Pruning and Training: Angel Trumpet Trees respond well to trimming and pruning. Light trimming of older growth throughout the season will encourage additional blooms. The blooms arise on new wood, at the terminal ends of the branch, so they can be pruned anytime you want to shape. It can take a month or more for blooms to appear post-pruning. As a result, many growers choose to prune in the early spring. Primary cuts should be made ½” above the node for removing older branches. This encourages more branching. Pruning can begin when the main trunk “Y’s” - then, prune older stems so as to encourage more prolific branching.
