A Sweet Treat for Any Landscape

With its petite size, cloud-like white blossoms, and glossy red fruit, the Lollipop Crabapple is a sweet selection for homeowners looking to add a touch of spring to their outdoor space.

Size

Compact size, elegant shape. True to its name, the Lollipop Crabapple is small and symmetrical, with a naturally round crown atop a sturdy trunk. The Lollipop Crabapple grows 8-10 feet tall and 8-10 feet wide. Its petite size makes it easily adaptable for yards, walkways, entranceways, or even patio accents.

Appearance

A confection of cloud-like blossoms. Small in stature but large in impact, the Lollipop Crabapple features deep pink buds that morph into a dense cloud of white blossoms in the spring. Green foliage turns yellow in the fall, with small, glossy red berries that last through winter.

Care

Easy care, low maintenance. Get stunning blooms and prolific flowering, without the work. The Lollipop Crabapple is easy maintenance and designed to thrive in most soil types and climates. It performs best in moist, slightly acidic soil in growing zones 4-8.

Additional benefits

Seasonal color, spring through fall. Add color to your landscape nearly year-round, with lush white flowers in spring and yellow foliage and red berries in winter.

Attracts birds and bees. Make your yard a haven for birds and bees - pollinators will love the dense flowers, and birds will eat the fall and winter fruit.

Naturally great shape. The Lollipop Crabapple maintains its petite stature and symmetrical structure year to year, without significant pruning.

Pollination Info

Lollipop® Crabapple Tree Pollination

Lollipop® Crabapple Trees are self-fertile. You will get fruit with only one plant. However, adding an additional Lollipop® Crabapple Tree will drastically increase the size of your crop.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: The Lollipop Crabapple grows best in well-drained, mildly acidic soil. Place in a spot that receives full, unfiltered sun.

When planting, dig a hole that's large enough to accommodate the root ball, place your tree, and backfill with soil. Finally, water the surrounding area to settle the roots.

2. Watering: The Lollipop Crabapple requires moderate watering. Water regularly for the first season, and then when soil is dry 3 inches down after that.

3. Fertilizing: Add a 5-5-5 fertilizer in early spring each year.

4. Pruning: Your Lollipop Crabapple will retain its neat shape without significant pruning. Lightly prune to shape as needed in the spring, after flowering.
