Versatile, Low-Maintenance Boxwood Ideal for Any Space

Compact, versatile, and highly attractive, the Little Missy is considered one of the hardiest boxwoods available. Deep green foliage provides a lovely accent without taking up much space, since it measures at just 2-3 feet high and 3-4 feet wide.

Tolerant of both sun and cold, Little Missy is ideal for mass plantings or natural hedges in many different landscaping designs. Their small size means you can fit this boxwood under windows, along a path, or in a garden.

The best part? Little Missy is rated one of the boxwood varieties most resistant to boxwood blight, meaning a healthier plant and growth for you.

This boxwood is also deer and drought resistant, and incredibly low maintenance once established. The mounded shape makes it easy to care for, with minimal pruning required. Don’t delay, order your Little Missy Boxwood today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Choose a location where your Little Missy Boxwood will receive full or partial sunlight. If you live in an area that gets very hot, they will do best when given some afternoon shade and well-drained soil.

When you're ready to plant, dig a hole the same depth as the root ball and twice as wide. Place the Little Missy upright into the hole, ensuring it is straight, and begin to backfill the hole, watering every couple of inches to prevent air pockets from forming.

To help retain moisture in the soil and deter weed growth, apply a 2- to 3-inch deep layer of mulch around the base of the boxwood, extending 12 inches past the foliage.

2. Watering: Water the Little Missy Boxwood deeply to ensure the roots are getting adequate moisture. The soil should stay moist but not saturated - generally, this requires watering once or twice weekly. Once it has established, it will need a weekly watering during periods of drought or extreme heat.

3. Pruning: The Little Missy can be pruned in a rounded shape, or allowed to grow naturally. Pruning should only be done after any danger of frost has passed in the spring.
