The Lavender Pyramid is everything you could ask for in a fragrant plant. You will be pleasantly surprised by how adaptable and easy to manage your Lavender Pyramid will be. The familiar favorites of the Lavender present themselves in this compact, manageable plant that will freshen up your home or garden.

Add soothing fragrance anywhere you like. Lavender is well known for its soothing aromatherapy benefits. Since the Lavender Pyramid grows great as a container plant, you'll have the option to add a calming aroma to any part of your yard or home. The fragrance doesn't falter, even when the blooms are gone, so you'll be able to add freshness all throughout the year.

The dark blue flowers bring visual interest from spring to fall. You'll certainly love the way it smells, but you'll love the way your Lavender Pyramid looks too. For most of the year, tiny, deep indigo flowers sprout up from the branches. Long, spikes of interesting color will add excellent ornamental value to any part of your garden or home.

Beautiful foliage and an interesting shape come together to make the Lavender Pyramid a worthy showpiece. Velvety silver-green foliage comes together and forms a tight pyramidal shape that complements the long stems of flowers. The unique foliage doesn't lose its color, so even in the dead of winter, you'll be able to add interest wherever you like.

Heat and drought tolerant, you don't have to worry about keeping your plant alive. This gorgeous plant will thrive in your yard or home whether you live in a dry, arid climate or a humid, muggy southeast state. Adaptable to many soils and able to withstand temperatures down to 15 degrees, you'll be amazed at how easy it is to keep your plant thriving all year around.

Planting & Care

Planting Instructions: Plant your Lavender Pyramid in well-draining garden soil or potting soil. If planting outdoors in clay soil, amend your native soil 50/50 with 1" rounded stones. Amending native soil with compost is helpful for the initial growth. Find a sunny location in your yard or if planting in a pot indoors, place near a very sunny window. If planting outside, place in a hole big enough for the root ball. Do not dig the hole too deep as lavender roots are very shallow. It is best to plant lavender on a mound in climates that receive a lot of rainfall. Water your lavender deeply after planting. If you live in a humid climate, add light-colored mulch and rocks around the base of your plant to reflect light and dry out the foliage.

Watering: For the first 2 years, you will need to water your lavender plant deeply every week. Lavender prefers to be watered deeply and then left to dry out and then watered deeply again. If planting outside, you do not need to water your Lavender if you receive more than 1" of rain each year. If planting in a container, check the soil moisture levels and allow them to remain dry for 1 week before watering deeply again. Once your plant is established (after 2 years) you do not need to continue watering. Most herbs grow best under dry conditions.

Fertilization: There is no need to fertilize your Lavender Pyramid.

Pruning: Trim off 1/3 of your lavender foliage once temperatures reach 80 degrees. You only need to do this once a year to ensure healthy growth, though pruning may not be necessary at all for those growing lavender in ideal conditions (dry, temperate climates).
